The Kern River Rock n Blues Fest is a music experience in Kernville, CA. The scenic Central California Mountains is the perfect setting for the music community to come together and play. This is the ultimate Rock n Blues vacation. With more than a dozen bands invited as well as dozens of sit-in artist the public is sure to see some of the best musicians on the west coast. All lodging, restaurants, camping and entertainment are all within leisurely walking distance.
KICK-OFF PARTY
Chickenbone Slim and the Biscuits
This original Roots Rock artist is based in San Diego, CA. His 4-piece band features the 2023 Blues Music Awards Best Blues Guitarist Laura Chavez. Signed in 2021 to Vizztone Records, his all-original album, “Serve It To Me Hot” received the 2021 San Diego Music award for Best Blues/Jazz recording. His newest album “Damn Good and Ready”, recorded at Greaseland Studios, showcases the songwriting and the high quality band’s talent, and is a solid artistic updating of roots music for the 21st century.
VIP PARTY
Hot Taco
Formed in Bakersfield, CA, by Billy Russell and Chuck Seaton in 1999 with Tanner Byrom and Ron Mitchell and occasionally joined by Glenda Robles, this band has written and compiled a rather large catalog of songs that have been keeping the boys busy in the studio. Gathering a few of Bakersfield’s best and recorded as many songs that would fit on a CD, In fact the last song was interrupted half way through when the CD format ran out of room. Their first album is made up of classic hits the band loves to perform live. They currently finished 6 songs for their upcoming second CD and have been performing these new tunes at their shows.
MAIN STAGE
The Main Stage comes alive beginning Friday at 5:00pm, with 2 bands playing some of the best Classic Rock and Blues on the West Coast. The stage ends at 9:00pm each night just in time to hit the town and do the Kernville Pub Krawl.
Saturday opens at 11:45am with a salute to our Nations Veterans and the National Anthem. The rockin begins at 12:00 and goes non-stop with 7 bands till 9:00pm in time for the 2nd night of the Pub Krawl.

NEW for 2024 Tito's Blood Mary Showdown on Saturday morning. No better way to rejuvenate after a night of Pub Krawl. Think You make the BEST Blood Mary? Beginning 10:00am Sat. in the Pub Tent, we will supply the Tito's Vodka and supply your own style of mixing's. There will be prizes for Best Garnished, Best Spicy and Best Overall Flavor! Sign-up sheet will be in the Pub Tent at Kernville Saloon.
CORNHOLE TOURNAMENT
Cold Beer, Great Music and Cornhole, it doesnt get much better than that. Saturday Sarge's puts on an annual throwin of the bags to raise money for a great cause.
Sarge's is a non-profit organization who partners with Wreaths Across America to place Christmas Wreaths on the headstones of our fallen veterans.

KERNVILLE PUB KRAWL
Friday and Saturday Nights! No Ticket needed for the great after party Pub Krawl!
After the great music ends on the BUD LIGHT Main Stage in Frandy Campground, Kernville turns into a 4 Venue Pub Krawl with Live Music and parties in every corner of town. You will see some great Acoustic acts and Bands rockin each venue with lots of sit-in musicians making for a full town of Jam Sessions everywhere you KRAWL
